John C. Dorn
John C. Dorn is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as both a physician and an attorney. His law practice is focused upon helping clients injured as the result of another’s negligence. This often includes car accidents, medical error, slip and fall injuries, dog bites and wrongful death.
John grew up in Needham Massachusetts and graduated from Boston College in 1983. After receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1989 he practiced as a chiropractic physician, in private and hospital based settings, for 18 years. During that time he was frequently retained as an expert witness and in this capacity participated in over 75 bench and jury trials.
In 2004 John received his Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law. He began his law firm in 2006 and with his unique blend of specializations is able to address every aspect of medical-legal cases.

Sheldon C. Toplitt, Of Counsel
Sheldon C. Toplitt focuses his practice on civil litigation and drafting legal documents. He represents clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. He has experience in numerous substantive areas of law, including personal injury, medical negligence, business litigation, social media and communications law, contracts and torts.
Sheldon is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Legal Marketing Association. Before joining the Law Offices of John C. Dorn, he was the principal of the Law Offices of Sheldon C. Toplitt in Needham, founding partner of Seman & Toplitt in Andover, senior associate at the Law Offices of Bruce A. Bierhans in Wellfleet, and an associate at Jager Smith in Boston. He began his law career at Moulton & Welburn in Boston.
Sheldon has taught business law and media law at several Boston-area universities and colleges. His company, The Write Lawyer, prepares articles, blog posts and press releases for attorneys and other professionals. Sheldon earned his J.D., cum laude, at Suffolk University School of Law.
